The 2025 national checklist anchors Korean and scientific names and KoreAves canonical checklist membership.
Source roles are not interchangeable
KoreAves does not treat every provider as evidence for every claim. Contracted checklist and taxonomy references anchor identity, eligible record sources contribute observations or surveys, and SGIS supplies the current administrative geometry.
Source register
AviList v2025b supplies a public international taxonomy/name reference only where the KBR scientific name matches at the same rank exactly.
Only the commercial-safe CC0/CC BY release projection contributes GBIF occurrence evidence.
Only the matched 2005 second-survey and 2019 third/fourth-survey Public Data Portal generations contribute to the release projection.
The 2025-06-30 first-level administrative boundary dataset projects eligible records into the current 17 divisions.
Interpretation boundaries
- The release does not redistribute raw provider files, provider record IDs, coordinates, or bulk source rows.
- Record counts are source rows, not bird counts or abundance estimates.
- Missing or ineligible source evidence does not establish biological absence.
